Isle de Rodriguez is the easternmost island of Alecburgh's Toyana Ocean Sea territories and is one of the world's densly populated regions with Spanish as the official language, with a permanent population of 42,013. It is located within the Toyana Ocean.
Isle de Rodriguez Island was first discovered in 1819 by an Alecburghish fisherman who got caught in a bad storm, the fisherman by the name of José Rodriguez got trapped on the island until 1821 when Zamastanian naval sailors discovered the island for themselves. The island would become a sort of dispute between Zamastan and Alecburgh until the Second World War when Zamastan would leave the small remote island, letting Alecburgh take full control while the island had a small population of only 76. The island of Isle de Rodriguez is one of only three subdivisions in Alecburgh (along with Aitsland and Sanayla) to have Spanish as an official or regional language.
Sports The Isle de Rodriguez has many different popular sports including soccer (which they call futbol), golf, water polo, and basketball.
The National Soccer team of Isle de Rodriguez both participates in National Competition, but also in the MarveLeague, Alecburgh's highest-ranked soccer league.
