Eggplant Island, officially the Republic of Eggplant Island, is a massive sovereign island nation. It is vaguely shaped like an Eggplant with dry deserts in the north, towering mountains and forests in the east, a huge lake and rivers passing thorough the center, forests and marshlands in the west, and plain fields in the south. The economy is very efficient at 200 trillion Eggplant Dollars a year. Personal and political rights are limited, conscription is mandatory, firearms, drugs, and tobacco products are strictly illegal. The country is administrated by the central government, although regional governors appointed by the central government have limited powers and protectorates are largely autonomous. The country is very stable with little political extremists, altough recent but rare terror attacks organised by belligerent nations pose somewhat of a threat to daily lives. The capital of Central Area is a megalopolis, so big in fact that is it classified as an Area by the government. The capital holds 10% of Eggplant Island’s total population, with a slight issue of overpopulation.
