By This River is a 1993 Jumbosan philosophical and abstract romance written and directed by Éric Beaumont, staring Fillipe Monet and Maeva Toussaint. The film follows two teenagers, Monet and Toussaint, that meet each other on a bridge above a river after both escaping their respective homes, and the movie also follows their their discussions about existentialism and the true purpose of life while lying on the bridge.

The film won multiple awards in Jumbosa and was praised for its thematic music, thought provoking story, and creative low budget cinematography. By this river also was critically acclaimed by Zamastan critics, even though the movie failed to get any larger commercial success internationally. With a production cost of h$85 thousand, it grossed h$17.1 million in the box office.
