The Casati Avvoltoio was a single-seat heavy fighter built by the Casati Aircraft Corporation for the Cacertian Empire during the Siduri War. Among the contemporary Cacertian aircraft of the time, the Avvoltoio had considerably better performance than other Cacertian twin-engine aircraft as a result of its unique push-pull configuration and lower aerodynamic drag from the in-line alignment of its two engines. The development of the Avvoltoio came from observations of aircraft performance in the Tennaiite Front in which it would primarily serve between 1936 and 1938. In addition to its deployment as a general heavy fighter, the Avvoltoio was also utilized as a night fighter, fighter-bomber, long-range escort fighter, and bomber pathfinder.
