Department of Justice (Caldan Union)

The Department of Justice is a department of the federal government of the Caldan Union. The Department of Justice is charged with ensuring the that the justice system is fair and accessible as well as effective. The department both acts to develop judicial policy and to serve as the government's legal counsel, advising the government on legal matters, defending it in court, and prosecuting violations of federal law. To reflect this dual role, the minister heading the department is officially titled both minister of justice and Attorney General of the Caldan Union. However, the latter term is more commonly used.
The current attorney general is Howard Covington.
