Supah Giovanni is a 2D and 3D platform game series created by Nintendo based on and starring the fictional mechanic Giovanni. At least one Supah Giovanni game has been released for every major Jazz Crisis video game console.

The Supah Giovanni games are set primarily in the fictional Pepper Empire, typically with Giovanni as the player character. He is usually joined by his brother, Vico, and often by other members of the Supah Giovanni cast. As platform games, they involve the player character running and jumping across platforms and atop enemies in themed levels. While the games had simple plots at first, recent games delved more into the backstories of the main cast, something the fans did not expect.

Characters

Main Protagonists

Giovanni

Giovanni is the main protagonist of many games across the Supah Giovanni franchise. Portrayed as a brave and heroic mechanic running the family business, he sets out to save Princess Cherry whenever she is kidnapped by the evil Baldrem. In 2018's Super Giovanni World Journey, when he comes across his original beau, Audrianna, players found out that Giovanni and Vico's surname is Forzamore.

At the end of World Journey, Giovanni and Princess Cherry finally begin to date, something that fans felt was long overdue.

Vico

Vico is Giovanni's younger twin and the love interest of Princess Lily. At the end of World Journey, he and Princess Lily get married.

Princess Cherry Bell of the Pepper Empire

Princess Lily Marigold of the Amaryllis Kingdom

Princess Lily is Vico's love interest and is depicted as strong willed and caring. In World Journey, you visit the Amaryllis Kingdom where you learn that Princess Lily will soon be taking over the throne from her mother, Queen Hawthorne.

Secondary Protagonists

Mayor Audrianna

Mayor Audrianna Barton is the mayor of Pimonto, a kingdom that you can visit in World Journey. She is the "princess" seen in the first game before the character got a different colour palette and became known as Princess Cherry in the second game onwards. Lore given in World Journey talks about Audrianna being exiled after the first game, although she was actually in hiding due to her kingdom being under attack. She would later rebuilt a new kingdom named Pimonto and would refer to herself as Mayor as opposed to Queen to give the kingdom "a less controlling aura".

Pimento

Pimentos are small pepper-like humanoid characters that are the main residents of the Pepper Empire. One in particular, Pim (or Pimothy), is Princess Cherry's most loyal knight. Another, Pimette, is a pink Pimento girl who has two long round pigtails and a dress to distinguish herself from Pim.
