The Department of Finance is a federal government department in the Caldan Union. The department assists the minister in developing the government's fiscal framework and provides expert technical advice on economic and monetary policy. This includes assisting with the government's annual budget. The department is led by a minister of finance who must enjoy the confidence of the House of Representatives under the Caldan system of responsible government.
