Zalsoker-Gorda (Skarmic: Zalšökér-Gorda, IPA: [sälˈʃœˌkɛɾ xoɾθä]; Beleroskovi: Zalshokyer-Gorod, IPA: []) is the smallest of the four Oblasc-level subdivisions of Skarmia by area, and the second-largest by population. It is also the only Oblasc not to have its name affixed with "Oblasc", though the difference exists in name only. Having served as the capital of the Southwestern Krai throughout all of its existence, Zalsoker was given administrative primacy within the Krai as equal to its other three Oblasci, and this status was maintained through the era of the Skarmian Socialist Republic and, later, the independent Federation of Skarmia.
