The Caniderians were a sentient lupine species that originated from the planet of Canidera alongisde the Canidiums. The Caniderians are larger, stronger and heavier than the other member of the genus, the Canidiums. Caniderians have noticably large canine teeth that portrude out of their mouth. Caniderians have generally darker fur colors compared to Canidiums, which range from black to brown.

Caniderians are natives of the terrestial planet of Canidera, located in the Antiricum System which is part of the Antiricum Sector. The Caniderians have historically been in competition with the Canidiums over the domination of the planet of Canidera. Before their entrance into the Star Empire, the Caniderians and Canidiums had united in government.
