Maria, most commonly known as Maria the Great, is the longest reigning monarch of Tayoma and Canton River Delta (from 1741 until 1832). She came to power following the death of her father and after the regency of her mother. Under her long reign, inspired by the ideas of the west, Canton River Delta experienced a renaissance of culture and sciences, many new cities, universities and theatres were founded, a large number of western immigrants moved to Canton River Delta (especially Tayoma and Canton), and Canton River delta was recognized as one of the great powers of Thuadia.
