Whitecastle (/ˈwʌɪtkɑːsəl/ WYTE-kah-səl, /wʌɪtkæsəl/ WYTE-kass-əl), officially the City of the Whitecastle upon Armstrong (French: Ville de la Châteaublanc sur Manier) and sometimes referred to by the French-language name Chateâublanc, is the de jure capital city of Insulamia. It is a federal territory that is ceremonially a part of the provinces of Aubert, Henria, and Septentria. The Armstrong River that runs through the city serves as the border between Henria and Aubert, as well as a major trade route for the area. Whitecastle is located in the Valley of Melodies in the Central Mountains and is mostly surrounded by boreal forest of the Tripoint National Park. As of 2020, the city has a population of 315,343, although this is projected to increase significantly following the transfer of the seat of government.
