Sorlyset officially The Kingdom of Sorlyset is social democracy.
The states name translates as 'Kingdom of the(ly) seven(set) sisters(sor)', based on the national mythology which reports how the nation was unified by seven sisters, all of whom were widowed, under a single crown, the eldest son of the eldest daughter, King Frederic.
Periods of unrest including a civil war following a failed communist revolution in the 1950's has resulted in the current democracy and has left Sorlysetians wary of conflict and war.
Today A constitutional monarchy oversees a proportionally elected parliament and smaller appointed council, which is voted / appointed by regions. Two principalities exist; Andorre a small mountainous nation famous for skiing and duty free; and, Nommaco, a tiny coastal city state.
