The Chenique Senate is the upper house of the Chenique Legislative Assembly, with the Chenique General Assembly being the lower house and the Chenique Representative Assembly acting as a separate lower house for the Quanassee Government.

The Chenique Senate has existed since the end of the Augusta Assembly and the creation of the Confederation of Chenes as the single house of the country's legislature. The Chenique Senate is comprised of 72 members, four members for every state including states within the jurisdiction of West Chenes. Chenique Senators are elected in state level popular elections within East Chenes, while Chenique Senators are appointed by the Quanassee Government. Senators who are appointed by the Quanassee Government to represent them are able to be called back under any circumstance, and can serve for life until they resign, retire, or are called back. Senators from East Chenes are elected for a term of four years, and are able to be re-elected a maximum of three times.

The Chenique Senate has several powers that are unique to it that are not shared by the General Assembly or the Representative Assembly, including the powers to appoint judges at any level of government, the approval of any federal level government official, the investment of power of individual state governments, and the ability to reverse executive vetoes. The Chenique Senate has significantly diminished powers within West Chenes, but are still relatively powerful and are the final call to ratify any legislative pieces by the Representative Assembly. The Chenique Senate must vote on legislation that is passed by either the General Assembly or the Representative Assembly to pass it to the executive branch. The Chenique Senate is also considered to be the final house for legislation for the Representative Assembly, which passes legislation that does not require ratification by either the Prime Minister or the President.

The chamber for session of the Chenique Senate are located within the Merchants Hall in Ville de Augusta.
