The Trelka is a serpent native to the Qallasa River Delta and the Vrekess Wetlands. They are arboreal creatures and can be usually found in trees sunning themselves or looking for birds and bird eggs (their primary food source). A Trelka hunts alone, waiting in the foliage or in the trees for the opportunity to strike. An especially hungry Trelka will even go so far as to seek out small mammals and lizards. The Trelka can swallow prey up to four times its size by unhinging their jaw and slowly taking in their victim by crushing its bones.
They are extremely patient, moving from tree to tree with slow, smooth speed and infinite care. They are feeders of convenience. Trelka are venomous and their bite is one of the deadliest in all of Aurelia and on Eurth. They typically avoid humans but will frequently bite those who stumble into their territory. The Phi'Tlaru sometimes likes to use Trelka as a means of assassination when it desires to send a message.
