History
Selection of Composer and Lyricist
Even before the revolution in South Alezia happened, in February 2022, underground South Alezian composer and lyricist Henriquez Van Tien and Robert Sweerteejk escaped South Alezian territory (with relative ease due to the minimal supervision of the border by the South Alezian guards at the time) and entered North Alezia to meet with other composers and lyricists who were waiting for them in Metropolitan Zafizamarrah. Each of them were then gathered in the Premiership House in the center of the city. The team was put sitting in front of the four "Founding People" of the Alezian Union; Sa'idah Mahmudaisyah (then Premier of North Alezia, would be Premier of the Alezian Union later), Mahmud Bergen (Chairman of the South Alezian Independence and Resistance Group), Hafif Nashvidze (Governor of Mosin-Nagan Territory), and Marinka Deliana Dadon (Governor of the Northern Pantabang Islands Territory). According to the four, the reason why each people were selected are as follows:
Region | Composer Name | Reason |
---|---|---|
North Alezia | Andi Robi Idris Novogrody | An already well known composer internationally, also Son of Mukhlis Krasnaya Novogrody, a past North Alezian premier who is known to fight for Reunification of Alezia, hence the reason why he launched the 1988 Northern Revolution. |
South Alezia | Robert Sweeterejk | Son of Michael-Douwes Sweeterejk, a South Alezian composer who has written satirical and patriotic songs against the Military Dictatorship that has been popular in the entire Alezian areas, Robert also wrote patriotic songs (the most famous being "Doorsbreekenstad") which are popular in his ARICO.Net account. |
Pantabang Islands | Navila Hessonite Dadon | Daughter of the Native Alezian Tribal Council, Danieuvie Hessonite Dadon. Navila herself is the largest supporter of reunification and has composed various Tribal Songs, most of them mentioned Reunification of the Alika'ai. |
Mosin-Nagan | Adam Khadarashvili | Nephew of Hazari Malikashvili, the mayor of Trishi who helped South Alezians resettle in Mosin-Nagan. Adam is the only one who hasn't released any singles or albums, but is a graduate from Alezian Music Institute. |
Region | Lyricist Name | Reason |
---|---|---|
North Alezia | Idresh Noam-Khaled | An already well known lyricist and composer internationally, with his best reputation participating in Worldvision 86, hence making him well known in North Alezia and other regions of the Alezian Union |
South Alezia | Henriquez van Tien | An anti-Hoojvinken poet writer well known around the internet for his blog called "From Maartscharij to Hoelveniegeld" where he posted poets criticizing the dictatorship and advocating for reunification. |
Pantabang Islands | Navila Hessonite Dadon | A lyricist, son of Martinique Dalavi Salem who have advocated for reunification through his lyrics and poems with people remembering him for the repeated sentence of "I hope for one Alezia before I leave Alezia and the world." |
Mosin-Nagan | Makala Heanashvili | Well known book writer, has written books about the possibility of the previously separated Alezia reunifying into one super state, with the most famous example being "Trishi, Zafizamarrah, Bucinnois, Doorsbreeken" |
International Representative | Adela Al-Maltiyyah | A Malta Comino Gozoan and An Alezian, selected due to her past understanding of the global's views on a peaceful process of Alezia's Reunification |
According to Idresh Noam-Khaled, the Founding People wanted the song to be grandeur yet represent a happy ending to the long problematic past of the Alezian Isles, and a happy start to the grandeur future of the Alezian Union. The group were given a briefing about the idea of what the anthem of the Alezian Union should look like. The song and lyrics are to be made neutral and not glorify a specific place (hence why none of the regions was mentioned explicitly), which is another reason why each future region got to send their own composers and lyricists. Another demand is that the song must be able to be sung in the other region's languages without changing too much of its' lyrics and its' meaning.
The nine people were given two months to finish the song's first draft in its' entirety, with the Founding People giving suggestions on which parts to edit. The first draft was completed in 6th of April 2021, with the first listeners being the Founding People plus the nine people working on the songs.
