Ezekiel (c. 24 AD – c. AD 67 / 79), also referred to as Ezekiel bar Yeshua and Ezekiel Khristos, was a first-century Sotirian preacher and religious leader. He is believed by Brethren Sotirians to be the Khristos, a redeemer of Sotirianity and ultimate defender of humankind and one who will emerge with Jesus Sotiras and the Final Messiah in order to fulfill their mission of bringing peace and justice to the world.

Early Life

-Very little is known

Life

Claiming Prophethood

-Claims to be the son of Jesus Sotiras and Mary Magdalene in 46 AD
-Repudiated by other apostles, but gains a small following
-Emulates Jesus by travelling, telling parables, and performing miracles.
-Attempts to enter Adunis but is barred by the Solarians who fear it'll upset the already volatile city, with the Pharisees and early Sotirians
dismissing him as a false messiah.

Khalasa

-Is invited to the town of Khalasa to act as its leader and guide
-Followers begin migrating, building up tension with local Atudites
-Tensions flare until Ezekiel banishes the Atudites from Khalasa
-Ezekiel begins acting less like Jesus and more in line with the traditional Atudite notion of a messiah, a priest-king.

Occultation

-Worried about backlash from the Solarians, and possible assassination, Ezekiel goes into occultation
-Promises to return with his father when the end-times begin

Deputies

-Four of his closest companions are chosen as his deputies to run his messages.
-Two are murdered at various points pre-ascension
-One is killed at the Second Siege
-The final deputy announces Ezekiel's ascension in 79 AD and his final message, before disappearing from the record.

Siege of Khalasa

-Without Ezekiel to control the movement his followers grow restless
-Millenarianism becomes rife and they begin arming themselves and raiding nearby towns and caravans
-Solarians send an army which defeats them at Battle of x and lays siege to Khalasa
-The Ezekielans break out and rout the Solarian force

Battle of Seifah

-The Ezekielans meet a large Solarian force in battle and win
-They are unable to capitalise on their victory due to dissension in the ranks and differing ideas on strategy

Battle of Ashalim

-Catastrophic battle for the Ezekielans
-Haran and Elias are killed
-The movement as an organised force crumbles.

Second Siege of Khalasa

-Omar leads a large amount of the community to flee. He develops the strategy of Dakhal, informing the Ezekielans that they must wait for his father and grandfather to return
-The rest remain in Khalasa which is besieged and utterly destroyed by the Solarians.

Ascension

-A month after the destruction of Khalasa the final deputy informs the community that Ezekiel has ascended and will return one day.

Family

-Ezekiel had a wife, Tamah, three sons: Haran, Elias, and Omar, and one daughter, Imnah
-Diadochs claim descent from Imnah
-Possible senior line from Omar which gets cut short/occulted at some point?
-Haran and Elias killed at Ashalim. They have no issue.
-Omar killed at the Nahala, the Betrayal at Nahala. He was invited to spread the message and settle but the town rejected him when he arrived. Fearing attacks from local Atudite militias he requests Solarian help to relocate. They escort them before massacring them on order of the local prefect. His family is killed except for his son, Jacob, who founds the Omarite line which persists until the xth century when it is ended/occulted.
-His daughter Imnah has three sons, two are killed with Omar, while the third, also named Jacob, creates the Imnahite line, which is extant to this day.
-The Jacobs are distinguished between the Omarite Jacob the Great, and the Imnahite Jacob the Lesser. Historians contend that it's possible both are actually the same figure and the genealogies have been fabricated.

Scripture

Bible

-Ezekielan bible contains three main sections, the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the something. The third book deals with Ezekiel's life and his role as the Khristos and Messiah-to-come.

Khadat

-A collection of sayings and actions of Ezekiel and his sons, and other holy figures.
-Each Ezekielan sect likely has differing collections. Post-Amendist reformation likely efforts to scrutinise and harmonise and remove any false ones.

Historicity

-Everything above is very sketchy history-wise. Historians and Biblical Scholars contend that a good deal of the events may be false. There are Solarian records pertaining to Khalasa and the battles, but they don't elaborate on the reasons and only refer to the rebels as an Atudite cult.
-Archaeology show Khalasa wasn't completely destroyed and was inhabited after the siege for some time until it was abandoned in the 7th century AD due to climate change/lack of trade etc.
-Historians and biblical scholars believe Ezekiel was a real figure and that his children existed (or at least Omar did as he is referenced by the Solarians).
