The Imperial Space Agency is a civilian agency for the Spirit of Hope government primarily responsible for exploration and development of space for a peaceful purpose.

History

Through the 1950's the Spirit of Hope Air Force conducted basic research into space and rocket launches, however it was primarily focused on these developments for a military purpose, such as ballistic missiles and space based intelligence assets. In the late 1950's interest grew in peaceful development of space capabilities, leading to the creation of the ISA

Organization

Launch Facilities

The Launch Facilities Branch is responsible for overseeing the launches of all rockets within Spirit of Hope and controlling launches for the ISA. Other organizations or independent companies may control the launches themselves the ISA still controls the launch facilities and monitors the launch to ensure smooth operations.

Launch Facilities Branch maintains three launch locations, a forth is under development.

Mission Support

Mission Support Branch is responsible for overseeing manned and unmanned operations once they are in orbit. Mission Support is specifically in charge of the equipment of the flights, Manned Operations is responsible for the astronauts themselves.

Mission Support maintains two centralized control facilities.

Manned Operations

Manned Operations Branch is responsible for planning manned operations, training astronauts, and overseeing astronauts welfare in space.

Science and Development

Science and development branch is responsible for ground based science and development of future technologies to support the other branches.
