The Vyvlander Police (Vyvlander: Vyvluder Polis, Helish: Foellandse Politie) is the organisation responsible for nationwide law enforcement in Vyvland. It operates via a network of offices across Vyvland, and is primarily concerned with solving wide-scale or organised crime and peacekeeping in times of unrest. A significant duty of the Vyvlnader Police is the apprehension of missing persons.

The Vyvlander Police has special units for combatting various forms of organised crime, including the illegal drug trade, smuggling, and coordinated gang violence. It also deals with most fraud and corruption investigations in addition to all crimes where firearms are suspected to be involved. Officers of the Vyvlander Police are the only police allowed to use firearms should a necessary scenario arrive, if their use is authorised by a police station chief. As such, shootings are very rare, with all officers firing shots an average of four times a year nationally over the decade to 2012.

The Vyvlander Police tends to take a more technical, back-room approach, in contrast with local police departments. Vyvlander Police offices are located in most major towns and cities, although the orgaisation is headquartered in Lorence. Major cities often control geographical sectors (sektoren), into which Vyvlander Police officers are assigned. There are seven sectors in total, which span all of Vyvland.

The Vyvlander Police co-operate with other Vyvlander law enforcement agencies in Vyvland under the purview of the Domestic Minister, currently Rikard Fegaad. The Vyvlander Forensic Science Unit, although independent from the Vyvlander Police, is often used for Vyvlander Police investigations and forensics. The force also maintains good communication links with the Vyvlander Border Guard, thereby keeping a tight watch on the movement of criminals or suspects in and out of Vyvland. The Vyvlander Police also cooperates with provincial and city police departments, often relying on them to gather on-scene evidence and preliminary data. However, the Vyvlander Police does deploy officers for investigations for which it is responsible. Template:Vyvland topics
