The Department of Natural Resources is a federal department in the Caldan Union. It is responsible for natural resources, energy, forests, mapping, and remote sensing. The current minister is Charlie Trisch and the deputy minister is Jonathan Butler. The department is tasked with ensuring the responsible development of all natural resources in the Caldan Union as well as with working to build a more up-to-date scientific understanding of the Caldan landmass and corresponding resources. The department exercises direct control over off shore resources and coordinates provincial action and enforces federal law when it comes to provincial resources. The department also maintains and makes available to the public a detailed Caldan Environmental Atlas.
