Yaouko, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Yaouko is a country in West-central Africa. Its culture is highly diversified due to the presence of many tribes and different mix of races, languages and religions, all of them co-existing peacefully over the last few decades. For a long time, it was considered one of the most important ports in Africa. It's capital and largest city is Meidou.

History

In the Pre-history it is believed that many tribes inhabited what is Yaouko nowadays approximately 6 million years ago according to what was found by historians. Both fossil and human remains were found in the jungle a couple of decades ago which were analyzed and found that those remains belonged to a fossilized woman.

Previous to European conquest, Muslim tribes inhabited most of the territory and formed a caliphate under Akbar Youssane al-Dawalan leadership, who had a formidable relation with Animist neighbour tribes.
