With the assistance of the Royal Quenminese Air Force and Uong Xuyen Heavy Industries, the rocket was manufactured in the course of eight months.
Subsequently, on August 16, 1982, the Sentrang 1 rocket carrying the Hoang Khanh 1 satellite was successfully launched into space at 5:00 PM. From that day on, the rocket class served the QNCD for over two years.
