The Prime Minister of Guadajara (Spanish: Presidente del Gobierno de Guadajara) is the head of government of Guadajara and leader of the National Cabinet.

The Prime Minister holds the second-highest office in Guadajara, after the President, who appoints and may dismiss them through a a vote of no-confidence in the National Assembly. Thus, the Prime Minister is dually accountable to the President and to the National Assembly.

Upon appointment, the Prime Minister proposes a list of ministers to the President.

The current Prime Minister is Elena Isabel Bermúdez, who took office on November 22, 2022.

Appointment

The Prime Minister is appointed by the National Assembly on the decision of the President of Guadajara, who in theory can choose anyone for the post. As the National Assembly has the power to force the government to resign by passing a vote of no confidence, the choice of Prime Minister must reflect the will of the majority of the National Assembly. The President may also call for the resignation of the Prime Minister.

While prime ministers are usually chosen from amongst the ranks of the National Assembly, on rare occasions the president has selected a non-officeholder because of their experience in bureaucracy or foreign service, or their success in business management, most notably ???, who served as Prime Minister from 20?? to 20?? without ever having held elected office.
