Content of the Act

Article I || Titles

1.00 || This Act may be cited and referred to in short as the December Budget Act, 2022.

1.01 || This Act may be referred to in full as An Act to provide a budget for the Empire for December of 2022.

Article II || General Interest Disclosures

2.00 || This Act is a binding instrument of fiscal policy as defined under Article VII of the Nova Treasury Act, 2022.

2.01 || The rate of interest shall be set at 1.50%

2.02 || The National Banks disclosure is as follows: 2.02a || The Bank of England, collected on behalf of HM Treasury a sum of £0.00/- in tax revenue and paid out a sum of £0.00/- for the fulfilment of various obligations; 2.02b || The Bank of Scotland, collected on behalf of HM Treasury a sum of £0.00/- in property tax revenue and paid out a sum of £0.00/- for the fulfilment of various obligations.

2.03 || HM Government is not responsible for technical errors in relation to the execution of the budget but shall make every effort to solve technical errors and to prevent them and if within reason shall make every effort to remedy and compensate damage suffered due to technical errors.

Article III || Revenue Side Provisions

3.00 || HM Government shall enact the following provisions to generate revenue for this term.

3.01 || HM Government shall levy income tax for the entirety of the period in which this budget is valid: 3.01a || The following Income Tax Slabs and Rates are hereby adopted:

Income Received Rate of Tax £0 - £1,000 5.00% £1,001 - £5,000 8.75% £5,001 - £10,000 12.50% £10,000 or more 20.00%

3.02 || HM Government shall levy property tax for the entirety of the period in which this budget is valid: 3.02a || The following Property Tax Slabs and Rates are hereby adopted:

Acreage Rate of Tax 1+ acres 5.00%

3.03 || HM Government shall levy commercial tax for the entirety of the period in which this budget is valid: 3.03a || The following Commercial Tax Slabs and Rates are hereby adopted:

Income Generated Rate of Tax £1+ 5.00%

3.04 || HM Government shall levy an inheritance tax at the following rates: 3.04a || A rate of 10% for all liquid assets passed down from owner to heir(s); 3.04b || A rate of 10% for estates passed down from owner to heir(s).

3.05 || HM Government has the right to request the National Banks to print the following amount per payment cycle: 3.05a || The Bank of England may, on request by HM Treasury, print a total sum of £120,000 3.05b || The Bank of Scotland may, on request by HM Treasury, print a total sum of £225,000

Article IV || Expenditure Side Provisions

4.00 || HM Government shall enact the following provisions to spend on expenditures for this term.

4.01 || HM Government shall grant the following salaries to public officials, per payment cycle:

4.02 || HM Government shall grant the following amounts to (semi)-public institutions:

4.03 || HM Government shall grant the following amounts to the mentioned authorities for payment of incentives:

4.04 || HM Government shall grant the following monetary allowances:

4.05 || The following payment scheme shall be adopted for posting income across the forum. HMG is not responsible for any technical errors that arise from the automated payment system of the plugin:

Article V || Payment Cycle

5.00 || HM Government shall follow the following schedule: 5.00a || Tax notices shall be sent out on the 21st of each month declaring the Treasury's intent to tax; 5.00b || Taxes shall become collectible on the 28th of each month and citizens must make payments then; 5.00c || Salaries and any other head under Article IV of this Act shall be dispersed on the 30th of each month.


5.02 || HM Government shall be allowed a grace period of twenty-four (24) hours from each deadline set under §5.00 of this Article: 5.02a || Under no circumstances may deviating from the aforementioned deadlines mean that an obligation is postponed to the following month.

Article VI || Ratification

6.00 || This Act shall come into effect upon passage by both Houses of Parliament with a simple majority and assent by the Sovereign or other authority as established under the Monarchy Act of 2021.
