The Red Revolt
Throughout Fresia’s existence there have been socialists, the concept wasn't popular until the first industrial blume in 1780 and again in 1880. During 1932, a Socialist revolution known as the Red Revolt broke out due to worker abuse, layoffs and cut wages, the revolt started with a large protest against the companies who have done massive layoffs which were met with hostilities from the police and military which lead to a riot leaving 28 injured and 5 dead, though the protesters had temporary dispersed they would reform and rally several more protests before they turned on the nation and started a civil war against Fresia siding with Frisia-Hollandia Nationalists who provided arms and funds for their operations, though there were instances of trench warfare many battles were fought with some being the Battle of Stêdandegutar, Battle of Nardmarste, Siege of Fort Ferbining, and Battle of Nij Dorestate before the 4 year revolt was crushed by the Republican government, the violence against civilians by the government to suppress the revolt was met with public outcry, which rallied other parties to publically condemn the Republicans and demand more humane treatment to the socialist and communist until the Purple Revolt happened in 1941 in which Democrats and Socialist rose up against the Republicans overthrowing them in a political coup that lasted a year resulting in the acceptance of Socialist parties and eventually any party ideology in 1960.
