Augusztus vaz Rokossov (Aemperyan: Αθγθσζτθσ vαζ Ροκοσσοv) is a General of the Army for the Aemperyan Armed Forces. Born in 1982 in the town of Vezpraeym (translit: Vεζπραευμ) in Nagybaton Principality. An ethnic Laconii of the old House of Rokossov which had fallen into poverty by the 1960s due to mismanagement of the family fortune. The young Augusztus spent his early years in the town of Vezpraeym and joined the local Imperial Youth organization. His performance in academia except in regards to history was average and his application to the Alexynder Neiva Military Academy barely passed the requirements levied. However, once in the Academy he excelled in all subjects. Especially large formation tactics and military theory. Graduating in May, 2001 with the rank of Corporal to complete his six month evaluation to attend the Officer's College portion of the Academy. He was stationed with the 24th Motor Rifle Division at Talzeiron (translit: Ταλζειρον) on the coast of Azoron Bay. There he was attested as a competent soldier and officer candidate. Moving into the Officer's Training Program at Alexynder Neiva in the early Winter of 2001. Graduating two years later with the rank of Second Lieutenant and attached to the 14th Tank Division stationed along the Aemperyan-Mahsadari border. His section of T-90s saw action in the Battle of Hill 523. One of the many border clashes pervading the 90's and early 2000's between Aemperya and Mahsadar and the last actual combat action between the two countries.
It was at the Battle of Hill 523 that Vaz Rokossov and the armor of the 14th Tank Division's, 2nd Regiment, 1st Battalion, 6th Company supported by mechanized and motorized infantry belonging to the 3/II's 2nd and 4th Companies repulsed and counter-attacked forces belonging to the 2nd Mahsadari Armored Division. Followed, by the routing of the 2nd Mahsadari Armored Division's 1st Regiment in a general charge maneuver by the 6th Company. Vaz Rokossov's section accounted for the destruction of seventeen Mahsadari Tanks and AFVs, knocking out one other Mahsadari Tank at the extreme range during the general charge credited to Rokossov's tank, and the recoverable loss of three other AFVs at various points in the battle.
For this Vaz Rokossov was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant and later took command of his platoon in 2002. His career was furthered by his paper on the battle and the theory of tank forces using geographic features with the advent of modern technology in late 2003. Earning him a place in the Advanced Officer's Program at Alexynder Neiva were he graduated with the rank of Major. Whereby he was going to Ogharistan to the 12th Army Base as an officer in the 4th Guards Kantamirovskaya Tank Division's 1st Regiment, 1st Battalion stationed near the capital. There he was stationed throughout 2005 and 2006. Witnessing the events of the Red Wednesday Riots in Ogharistan which led to the collapse of President Tukharev's socialist regime for that of the more conservative Rajeroskiy Presidency which cracked down on religious minorities and led to the brief Red Movement in Ogharistan. A short guerrilla war primarily confined to the capital region that was help crushed by Rokossov's tanks.
Major vaz Rokossov's unit would be transferred in November 2006 to the Sybir region of Aemperya as part of Operation Sybirian Day. The military occupation and establishment of a pro-Aemperyan regime in Altaia following the victory of the Altaia Communist Party and bloody suppression of Aemperyan, Sarangol, and Zaihan ethnic groups in the country. Resistance was sporadic throughout the country save for the capital which was laid under siege by the Imperial Army and Airforce. The one month siege of the capital was a complex affair. Forbidden from causing unneeded damage to the capital and international pressure from Zaihan and Sarangol to resolve the matter quickly. Sarangol, in particular, condemned the overt use of force by the Empire. Led to a delayed and incredibly complex series of maneuvers to capture each of the capital's districts in turn while avoiding unnecessary damage. However, it was Vaz Rokossov's tanks that breached the final defenses in Presidential Square that led to the capture and collapse of the regime. Major vaz Rokossov personally took the unconditional surrender of the Altaic military forces loyal to the Communist regime. He was given the Military Order of Vladymor as a Knight for his actions. Promotion to Lieutenant Colonel came swiftly by 2008 and Rokossov was attached to the 4th Guards command staff at Zopron in the Kingdom of Vaegyarok.
His career progressed slower from there. Becoming a Colonel in 2011 and a Major General in 2016 whereby he was put in command of the 4th Guards Kantamirovskaya Division. He led the Division's elements personally during the 2018 War against Sarangol and achieved notable victories and advancing closer than any other commander to the Sarangol capital before the ceasefire and armistice came through. Vaz Rokossov was promoted to Lieutenant General for achievement and placed in command of the Aemperyan Border Corps activated after the war to garrison and watch the Aemperyan-Sarangolese Border. His tenure there is what allowed him to develop the plans that would lead to that country's conquest and surrender the following year.
When the Aemperyan-Sarangolese War of 2019 kicked off his plans and tactful prowess allowed the Army elements to breach and reach the enemy capital within a week. Whereby the fighting moved into the Eastern half of the country as his units cut off the capital and major cities which were quickly taken one by one. As the war wound down to the official surrender of the country to the Empire the Empress, Anasztaziya vaz Valkyr, who had been at the Border Corps HQ for the duration of the conflict. Promoted Rokossov to the rank of General of the Army. The highest conventional rank beside Marshal of the Empire. Rokossov would be put in command of the Imperial occupation forces in Sarangol following this outcome.
