During the Golden Age of Xzavaria in the mid 1700's to early 1800's, many in the original Kingdom of Zaviland were feeling heavily taxed and exhausted after fending off an amassed drought, incursion, and revolts in the New Kingdom. Things set off when one Igor Ibramavic, a highly respected political figure, was killed by the orders of Tsar Wrexthia, on the suspicion that Igor was plotting his own incursion, similar to that a year prior, which brought the young Tsar into power in the first place.

A massive civil unrest had taken place soon after the word spread of Igor's death, some even took to open-armed conflict with the local military and police. The added exhaustion of war and taxation was the tipping point that lead to the floodgates of Civil War. The Hétur Revolution saw the likes of the Tsardom brought to it's knees, and forced to submit to the new Council of Honors; which was in place to limit the Tsar's controll over the military and international affairs.

The loss of the war for the Tsardom meant that many wanted to be releifed of their taxes, which saw a massive budget cut to the military, and subsuquent return of thousands of experienced war veterens. (Who would later lead a resistance movement against Vultesian occupation for 40 years)

With the looming Vultesian threat now locked into it's target, many lands were grabbed and sold to the Riamese Empire, and other states were granted independence, or fought a fairly easy war to win theirs.

But what remained of Xzavaria would soon face disasters like never before.
