Cabonde Bay Music Festival
Cabonde Bay Music Festival is an annual music competition held in Cabonde Bay, Ganji Islands. It started in 1969 and has been held annually since 1969.
History
Format
Since 1969, the competition has featured 20 participants. The songs are usually made by proffessional or amateur composers.
The festival consists of 5 nights, usually the first night is on the first or the second Saturday of April. The first night is the original performance of the song. The second and third nights are both original performances, but 10 songs perform in both. The fourth night is a cross-performance night, where the participants perform their own version of another song taking part. The fifth night is the final night, where the participants perform their song one last time. The jury will vote for their favourites, and the jury ranking will be released after the interval acts have performed. The top 3 of the jury will go to the Superfinal, where the public decides their favourite through the televote.
