The Martian Congressional Republic (MCR), commonly referred to simply as Mars, is an interstellar sovereign state in the Solar System mostly governing the planet of Mars. It is the system's second-most populous country at approximately 4.34 billion inhabitants in 2350, and governs the second-largest amount of orbital installations, civil and military stations in the Belt and Outer Planets, and interstellar colonies, both behind the United Nations. It is divided into the National Capital Municipality (NCM), the location of the country's capital city Londres Nova, multiple other urban directly-controlled Municipalities, and dozens of Provinces, Autonomous Regions and Interplanetary Territories. Apart from Londres Nova, the MCR's most significant cities include its largest city Rayong, New Hyderabad, Juyoang, Wegener, First Landing, Dagona, and Schiaparelli.
