Pohjanmaa, officially Pohjanmaa County, is a the largest county in the Obets United Republic, covering the west coast and the vast interior boreal forests. Pohjanmaa borders Alatnamaa to the east, Pohjos-Uralia, Lojos, and Sastekiń to the southeast, Farksi to the south, the Eilande Ocean to the west, and the Matindi Ocean to the north. The county is the largest in Obets by area but the 12th most populated, giving the second lowest population density. Pohjanmaa, an ancient city in on the coast, host a sizeable Russian minority and contains remnants of its ancient colonial past. Vast boreal stretches of borel forest along with towering mountain ranges define the geography of the many tribes living in Pohjanmaa, which give the county rich tribal history and diversity.
