The Baltanian Armed Forces (Lithuanian: Baltanijos ginkluotosios pajėgos, Latvian: Baltānijas bruņotie spēki) are the military forces of Baltania. The Baltanian Armed Forces consist of the Baltanian Land Forces, the Baltanian Navy, the Baltanian Air Force and the Special Forces.
History
Organization
The Presidency of Baltania is the commander-in-chief of the Baltanian Armed Forces, according to the Constitution of Baltania. The Ministry of National Defense is directly responsible for the organisation of the defense system, whereby the Commander of the Armed Forces (Lithuanian: Kariuomenės vadas, Latvian: Bruņoto spēku komandieris) is subordinate to the Minister of National Defense. The Joint Staff of the Armed Forces is responsible for the preparation of defense and mobilization plans.
