The Atravia MW, also referred to as the Sako MW, is an eObet-manufactured six-wheeled armoured personnel carrier (APC) originally designed for the eObet National Defense Force. The first variant was produced in 1980, and mass production proceeded in 1981. It was designed to operate with ease of use, simple structure and low-cost maintenance. The basic configuration is built to resemble modern armored personnel carriers however it is adapted to be compatible with Russian and eObet machine guns, and to suit a large vehicle range and relatively fast speed and horsepower. The main variant, MW 80, is amphibious but slower and larger, while the MW 90 suits less passengers and is built to move faster and with a wider range. The MW 220 is the rarest variant and is not amphibious because it was built with heavier and thicker armor. Multiple sub-variants of the Atravia MW have advanced radar tracking and electronic warfare systems built in.
