2021 Neo Kingston local government election
The 2021 Neo Kingston local government election was held on May 18, 2021 alongside the 2023 Neo Kingston general election. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no local elections were held in 2020. Because of this, both group B and C local councils held elections in 2021.
Group B councils were originally scheduled to be up for election in 2020. Up for election from this group was 21,914 district councilor positions across 12 of the country's 35 counties. Mayors were directly elected in 37 metropolitan councils. All councilors and Mayors were elected to a two year term (next up for election in 2023).
Group C councils came up for election as originally scheduled. Up for election from this group was 21,609 district councilor positions across 11 of the country's 35 counties. Mayors were directly elected in 22 metropolitan councils. All councilors and Mayors were elected to a three year term (next up for election in 2024).
