The Tales of the Arcadia are an extensive collection of stories written by Zenio Periclon during the years of his service as second lieutenant on board of the Arcadia. This pseudo-logbook, in addition to narrating the heroic ventures of the ship and its landings in unknown lands, tells the daily events of the crew and the more mundane aspects of the adventures, describing in detail the familiar atmosphere established on board the Arcadia among the various members. There is also a long and articulated description of the ship itself and its history, and there are a multitude of biographical information on each arcadianaut; it is noteworthy the meticulous biography of the captain of the Arcadia, the nautical explorer Ahndo Scatevrio. This book is also a sort of personal diary of the young Zenio just hired as a cabin boy aboard the Arcadia in 1597 AR and of his professional growth until he became second lieutenant on board. Thus, the Tales of the Arcadia not only narrate life on the ship but also serve as tales of [[Zenio Periclon's] formation and establishment as a nautical explorer.
