Mikro
Mikro Computer Ltd. (Микро) is a multinational computer company based in Kakhab, Osorra specialized in manufacturing and designing consumer electronics - including phones, computers, and tablets. The firm also builds and mantains its own operating system known as MikroSystemia. It operates primarily in Slavonic countries, Avalonia and Kesh selling an estimated 30 million computers in 2022. The firms computers have been commeded for their extensive repairability, durability, reliability, and maximalist design languague. Mikro is a large supporter of the open source community and includes a great deal of open source software with its products.
Mikro was founded in 1975 by the Kakhab Computer Factory to brand their products. It was one of the only computer brands in Communist Osorra and created many of the countries first computer systems. It fell to hard time during the collapse of Communism and survivied through a bailout and a guarentee by the Government to use mainly Mikro computers in government contracts. The company gained footing in 1997 when its products were recognized by foreign businesses, who appreciated the durability of their computers. Steadily it grew a massive brand throughout Anterra. In 2010 Mikro released its first phone - known as the MikroTel - which had sigificantly better drop performance than the competition. Mikro contuines to include many ports, removable batteries, and thick laptops at a time when much of the competition is moving towards more minimal alternatives. Still, the company primarily sells its Ultrabook line - the Mikro S Series. Today the company is exploring new horizons in computing, such as eink displays, gaming handhelds with PC hardware, and virtual reality.
