The Army of the Tryphonate (Creicean στρατός του τρυφωνικού), sometimes referred to as the Creicean Army is the principal land warfare force of the Tryphonate of Creice, a part of the Defense Force of the Tryphonate along with the Air Force of the Tryphonate and the Navy of the Tryphonate. As of 1 June 2023, the Creicean Army comprises roughly 200,000 active and 150,000 reserve personnel for a total strength of 350,000 personnel. The ranking offcer on 1 June 2023 was Legate Nikitas Bariadis, serving in the post since 19 April, 2020.

The modern Army of the Tryphonate has its antecedents in volunteer forces conscripted by feudal lords on behalf of the Tryphon of Creice; there is no direct connection between the modern Creicean Army and the standing armies of the Bronze, Silver and Golden Republics. Tryphon Crathis I formally organized the first professional army for the country since the republican era in February 1016 AD in order to put down resisters to the House of Ioannidis following his ascension to the Tryphonate. The members of the army, sometimes known by the sobriquet Guardians swear allegiance to the Tryphon upon the administration of their oaths to the service branch. Since 1805, soldiers are also expected to swear an oath of allegiance to the state as well.

The Creicean Army was initially composed primarily of heavy and light cavalry, infantry and Archers; later on, as gunpowder revolutionized warfare, musketmen and artillery entered the conversation. This led to a massive reorganization effort in July 1672 when the former components of the land forces were reconstituted into task groups denoted by their service to the army, be it as artillerists, cavalry and dragoons, riflemen, or members of the various service corps. This constitution would last until the most recent reorganization in 1925 which saw the advent of an air corps, as well as the dividing of servicemen into fully formed brigades rather than independent hodgepodge armies as had been previously construed. Remaining civil departments outstanding prior to the 1925 reorganization were reconstituted into the Ministry of Defense - War Office.

The Army of the Tryphonate's Guardians have fought in major wars across the continents of Esvanovia and has served in peacekeeping roles both internally and abroad for the last five hundred years. Creice's military prominence allowed it to play a role in shaping the history of Esvanovia as well as guaranteeing the internal locus of control enjoyed by the Tryphon. Since the 1990s, the Army has begun adding antipiracy and counterterrorism activities into its mission doctrine. It is the second-largest service branch by total manpower, behind the Navy.
