Helene Hohgarton, 1st Duchess of Hanover-Brunswick (1 January 851 - 14 May 942) was a Saxon noblewoman, architect, and administrator who held various lands in Northern Germany under the Dukedom of Hanover-Brunswick. With no other record, the consensus is that she founded the House of Hohgarton upon her accession as the Countess of Hanover and had already gained prominence within East Francia by the time she became the Duchess. Noted as a Fearless Planner and Builder.
