• Ottomans are driven out of the Balkans by Russia and the region turns into a constant back and forth battleground between Serbia and Romania (backed by Russia), Bulgaria, Greece (backed by Italy) and Hungary (backed by Germany)
• Scramble for Africa begins with the Franco-Italian Invasion of Ottoman North Africa
