Aelandi-Dalfan, officially the Union of Aelandi-Dalfan (Union of Dalfan-Aelandi) is a country located in Central Elisia. The Union consists of two countries Aelandi and Dalfan with Aelandi counting 11 Regions and 2 Autonomous Republics and Dalfan consisting of 11 Prefectures. The Union has two official languages. Dalfanese and Aelandian. It also recognizes Ziromnian as a minority language.
The five largest cities in the Union are currently, Krinas, Liones, Koīmarpa, Daikutsu and Tojamirā with the capital cities being Krinas and Liones both hosting the House of the Union switching every six month with Krinas hosting it from January to June and Liones hosting it from July to January. Both cities have a permanent building called The Union Council
The Union was formed on the 24th of June 2026 with that day being declared a national holiday in both countries though their respective National and Independence days get priority over Union Day
Etymology
The name Union of Aelandi-Dalfan differs wether you are from Aelandi or from Dalfan The Aelandian name name for the Union is Mejastrom fe Aelandi-Dalfitsja while the official Dalfanese name is Dafayo-Andaro Hitatsu The country that you are in decides wether it is Dalfan-Aelandi or Aelandi-Dalfan, the country you are in at that moment gets placed first in the name.
The major difference is that the word for "Union" gets shifted to the back of the word in Dalfanese with Hitatsu meaning "Union".
History
The idea of a personal union was officially proposed right after Aelandi became independent as the Aelandian Free State to keep more Dalfanese influence inside of Aelandi, although the government was still heavily sanctioned by the Dalfanese Royalty that plan never came through.
In 2024 the cabinet II of Disjat Magtjat proposed a private plan to the Dalfanese Royal Advisory to unite like the former Kingdom of Aelandi although, the Dalfanese King never put his seal on that plan.
The last proposal, the final proposal was first written up in 2025 by Prime-Minister Dima Tritja of Aelandi and the Dalfanese King Takahiro II. The plan took more than a full year to completely finish the proposal and to get all seals and signatures on all the correct documents.
Geography
Through the landscapes consisting of plains and forests. The Union covers an area of 3,574,097km² (1,379,967mi²) (excluding the Aelandian Autonomous Republics) The Union borders 5 countries (excluding oversees territories) going all the from bordering Ziromnia in the north to bordering Nakletsk in the south. Together with the oversees territories the Union would border 6 countries and would count 1 maritime border with Pervincia
The landscapes of both Dalfan and Aelandi are very similar both having large open plains with beautiful forests. The two countries also share a short mountain range with the highest peak at 1,783km high being in both Aelandi and Dalfan as the border runs right through the tip of it.
Wildlife and biodiversity
The wildlife in the Union is very diverse, there are several species of deer only found across the borders of the Union.
The Aelandian Jatizhja Deer is a type of deer only seen in Aelandi and some secluded parts of Dalfan. The deer often hides in thickly forested areas
The Union took over the Koi fishing laws of Aelandi making it a protected animal over all of the Union.
