Hans Kongelige Højheds Flådestation Frederiksværn i Nordvakt (Flådestation Frederiksbærn), is the largest naval base in Nordania and is the principal naval base for the Royal Sjealandic Navy.
Flådestation Frederiksværn is one of the three operating bases in Sjealand for the Royal Sjealandic Navy, with the two others being Flådestation Lindesnes and Flådestation Ingborg. The naval base is located in the Nordvakt Bay, a deep bay enclosed by natural cliffs and deep waters, allowing for excellent protection for the vessels. It is located in the town of Frederiksværn, a suburb to the Sjealandic city of Nordvakt. Thanks to its deep natural harbour and position Nordvakt quickly grew into a thriving port city, with the court soon using its large port for naval matters. However it wasnt until 1664 that construction on the first dedicated naval docks and dockyards began. The naval base no longer maintains its own dockyards, as they were closed in the 1970's. Today the naval base only operates maintenance facilities, which however are extensive.
Flådestations Frederiksværn is the home port of the Njord Sea Fleet and is one of two ports home to the carrier strike group Riget, the other being Stykkishólmur in Tårnøerne. The base is the principal home of Sjealands most modern frigates along with all its destroyers and many of the support vessels and submarines. Additionally the large surrounding cliffs have allowed the base to be expanded into the cliffs and mountains, allowing for large docks within them.
