Early lives

The David Brothers were raised in a Catholic family in Kobolis. After attending university, where both brothers studied theoretical physics, the paid entered into the Kobolian nuclear program in 1943. Upon entering the program, the brothers were increasingly ostracized by fellow scientists as a result of their monotheistic views.

Espionage

Donnchad David, according to declassified information, is believed to have first made contact with Imperial agents at some point in 1948, offering to pass them nuclear secrets.

Trial and conviction

Over the course of their trial, Kobolian prosecutors made the claim - which was later proven true according to declassified files - that the David brothers became disillusioned with the polytheistic society in Kobolis, and believed that ensuring that Exponent was nuclear capable would balance the power in Astyria and serve as a kind of defense of Christendom.

Exponential nuclear program

As a result of the David brothers' espionage, Kobolian intelligence estimates that the information received by the Imperial Exponential military advanced their nuclear project timeline by at least three if not five years. Prior to the David brothers, nuclear technology was not being intensively researched by the Imperial military save for scattered scientists operating out of different Hesperidesian universities. With the data relayed by the brothers, however, the military command became more interested in the development of the bomb, and using the Kobolian information as a base began to pool more resources into the endeavor.
