The elections of the President of the Republic in Voisey are held every 5 years, and this, since at least 1750. Voisey saw at its head, several political colors.
The way the presidential elections in Voisey work is this: Initially, the candidates campaign. At the same time, they have to harvest what is called sponsorships. They need at least 750. These sponsorships are given by mayors, municipal councillors, county councillors, regional councillors, MPs and senators. After a certain date, candidates who have not obtained enough sponsorships cannot access the elections themselves. Then, a first round is organized, in which all citizens with Voiseyian nationality are invited to vote. Voting in Voisey is considered a duty. Everything is set up so that the most citizens can vote. Turnout rates at all elections in Voisey generally never fall below 88%.
Second Republic
The first Republic was established in Voisey in 1612, with the coming to power of Albert de Crichy.
