Marco Richard Reza Mansour Vasconi-Francesconi Al-Bu'said was born on 16 December 2003 in Sorengo. His mother, Natalia Silvia Francesconi, is a dentist who, in 1997, married Nicolas Manuel Vasconi, a businessman who founded AZ-SA a company specialized in urban furniture. The couple split in 2005. During the early years of his life, he was confronted with serious health problems who made him almost confined at home for the majority of his childhood and early teens.

His mother Natalia Silvia Francesconi (born on 17 January 1965 in Bienne) is of italian and british origins on her mother's side and of italian, persian and omani descent on her father's side. Her mother (who passed away in 2009) owned a luxury clothing shop in Bern and her father is the former CEO of Gucci for Switzerland. Her mother was related to the family of Richard Scott, 10th Duke of Buccleuch while her father is distantly related to Tariq bin Taimur, father of the current Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq and also distantly related to Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last {{|Shah of Iran}}.
