The republic of Neur Ostland is a dystopian/alt timeline nation located in our worlds netherlands,belgium,luxembourg,north-west germany and north-east france. The nation is a parliamentry democracy with an upper and lower house. Not all of it's history has been under the name of New Ostland, with most ethnic groups coming from south europe (balkans), northern europe and a sozable portion of natives like the dutch and belgians for example. Today, Neur Ostland is a colonial empire, with colonies around the world. One thing each colony and Ostland have in common is that there militaries adopted a compulsary servcie system of 1-3 years (once a citizen comes to age), with a voulanteer pathway set up by the government to offer pathways for the future like a job in the police force. Another thing each military has in common is that the personnel numbers are unknown due to Ostland and her colonies populations constantly growing.
