The Blessing Moon Exorcists, or Blessing Moon for short, is a demon hunting organization from a possible future. It was founded by Mirage after she discovered Aura and possible applications of it in exorcism. As only women are able to use their Aura this way, all its members are female.
Overview
The Blessing Moon Exorcists is an organization independent of the Caliphate of Earth and is listed as an NGO. It operates several schools around the Caliphate, but is headquartered in their school on Earth. However, due to the dangerous nature of their operations, they have been authorized by the first Caliph and the Caliphs after him to carry weapons since the founding of the Caliphate. Prior to planetary unification, the exorcists fight unarmed.
Design
During their training, Blessing Moon acolytes wear a uniform consisting of a white shirt, a purple skirt, and a hooded cape of the same colour during school hours.
History
After several meditations, Mirage, who has been able to see Aura for years, discovered a way to extend hers to affect physical objects, gaining a means of telekinesis. She refined her control over it to the point where she can manipulate multiple objects in detail, such as using two or more pens to write on different pieces of paper.
One day, she received a job so difficult multiple exorcists were called to handle it. The team struggled to cleanse the possessed in this mission, and Mirage asked for permission to temporarily relocate so that she can conduct research, train, and meditate in relative safety. 48 hours later, she received a vision during her meditation which inspired her to use her Aura to pull out the demons possessing the victims in the incident, and managed to do so, resulting in a pyrrhic victory. Feeling the burden of guilt due to the number of casualties, she took in the surviving exorcists and trained them in the use of Aura.
After a year of training, the women trained by Mirage used what they learned on the exorcism jobs they took individually, showing great success where the men failed and had to resort to traditional exorcism methods.
