Basten IV (born Basten Andreas Nollen, February 2, 1931) is the King of Odoni, having reigned since 1968 upon the death of his father. Basten IV continued to comment on political affairs as a monarch until he suffered a major stroke in May 2015, which forced him to undergo rehabilitation. He has rarely appeared in public since the stroke, and has declined to abdicate the throne for his eldest daughter, Princess Liesbeth. He holds the distinction as the oldest living and earliest serving monarch in the world, following the death of Irohi II of Tosichi in October 2023.
