Yerusalahm is a city in Verdusa and is one of the oldest cities in the world, considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions— Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as well as Rajitism. Historically a source of contention in the status between Jewish and Muslim populations in Verdusa, the ratification of the 1957 constitution insured shared power between the Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Rajit populations, moved the capital to Shanadu, and set Yerusalahm as the "Sacred City", declaring that no single religion could impose their rule over the city as it was the "dwelling place of God". Quarters for each government-recognized faction were established, as such, the government of Verdusa can only enforce security around the perimeters of the city and the respective factions enforce their own quarters. The center point of the city, the "Old City", is designated as neutral ground where people of all religions can observe their faiths side by side.

Despite the neutral recognized status of Yerusalahm, sporadic clashes between religious groups and government security forces still occur. The city was heavily damaged in 1987-89 during the Verdusa Civil War.
