The Republic of Benadir is an unrecognized nation in Kamalbia that is widely viewed as an occupation government under direct orders from the government of Heideland. After the multinational intervention in Kamalbia in 2014, Heidish forces entered into the area and immediately established control over the territory. In 2016, the government under Omar Hassan Cabdulaahi was officially installed, ending direct Heidish military control in the area. Despite this, however, the area is de facto under control of Heideland.
In 2019, all citizens of Benadir also began to be issued Heidish passports. As of 2020, the nation was fully connected into the larger Heidish energy grid.
