The number of miles earned depends on the distance flown, the fare class, and the tier status of the member. JIA Miles members can also earn miles from JIA’s non-airline partners, such as hotels, car rentals, credit cards, and more. JIA Miles has partnered with some of the best brands in the travel and lifestyle sectors, such as Hilton, Hertz, Mastercard, and Starbucks, to offer more opportunities and value to its members.
Redeeming Miles
JIA Miles members can redeem their miles for a variety of rewards, such as free flights, upgrades, lounge access, extra baggage allowance, and more. JIA Miles members can use their miles to book flights on JIA or any of the Sky Alliance partners, with no blackout dates or restrictions. JIA Miles members can also use their miles to upgrade their seats from economy to premium economy, business, or first class, subject to availability. JIA Miles members can also redeem their miles for other travel-related services, such as hotel stays, car rentals, airport transfers, and travel insurance. JIA Miles members can also use their miles to shop online or in-store at JIA’s partner merchants, or donate their miles to JIA’s charity partners, such as UNICEF, WWF, and Red Cross.
Tier Status
JIA Miles has four tiers of membership: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Each tier has its own benefits and requirements, which are based on the number of miles or segments flown in a calendar year. JIA Miles members can enjoy the following benefits, depending on their tier status:
Silver: The entry-level tier of JIA Miles, which requires 25,000 miles or 30 segments to qualify. Silver members can enjoy priority check-in, 25% bonus miles, and discounted access to JIA’s lounges. Gold: The second tier of JIA Miles, which requires 50,000 miles or 60 segments to qualify. Gold members can enjoy priority boarding, 50% bonus miles, and discounted access to JIA’s lounges, as well as Sky Alliance’s lounges. Platinum: The third tier of JIA Miles, which requires 100,000 miles or 120 segments to qualify.
