```Hyannis, Middleboro, and Northern is a class II railroad operating out of Middleboro and headquartered in Bourne. Hyannis & Middleboro, or H&M for short, operates on ex-New Haven and ex-Bay Colony lines in southern Massachusetts, most notably being the Middleboro Main, as called by dispatchers and train crews. H&M had a rough start as Cape Cod passenger rail died in 1989, and its predecessor, CC&H, with it. H&M took over operations on the Cape in 1996, and then they transitioned to shared trackage with BCLR in '99. In 2007, BCLR hit a major bankruptcy, causing a takeover of BCLR in '09, which caused H&M a major boost in revenue, saving them from near bankruptcy. H&M eventually in 2017 started to get funded by the MA Government as a part of a fundraiser to restore a major amount of trackage and locomotives. H&M still operates as of 2023, and is going on strong.```
