The Joint Tracked Vehicle Platform-25 (Anikatian: 공동 궤도 차량 플랫폼 -25 gongdong gwedo chalyang peullaespom -25) is a family of tracked armored ground vehicles developed by Anikatia which is designed replace a number of tracked armored vehicles currently in service by the nation, it is designed with high-intensity warfare versus a par opponent in mind.

History and Development

Design

JTVP-25 series was designed to have a highly modular-set up which is easily configurable to increase its service-life and for specific threats, the entity of the series shares a common chassis, design it will include a command vehicle, ambulance, armoured recovery vehicle, mortar carrier, light tank, and others.

Armament AIFV-variant

The electrically powered Tagr-AM remote turret is mounted in the centre of the hull and is armed with an 40mm autocannon chambered in (CTA) caseless telescoped ammunition capable of firing APFSDS including DU-variants, high-explosive, smoke and multipurpose munitions, this connected with an advanced digital, fully stabilised, weapon systems similar to those found on the systems T-96 allowing the the JTVP-25 to ability to both move and actively engage with targets while at the same time still providing a high level of accuracy. Because of the lighter, telescopic cased ammunition, the entire weapon does not need to be substantially longer or larger in order to load in the rounds. The shorter case also reduces the weight and size of the round somewhat, to around half it's previous weight and volume another improvement is the gun barrel casing which has more stiffness unlike the 30mm 2A72 that flexes more. This in turn increases the grouping of its rounds, enhancing its accuracy even more.

The vehicle is equipped with a 40x290mm L/55 2A40 autocannon which has a barrel length of 2475mm that can fire up to 360 rounds per minute, with a projectile velocity of up to 1,050 m/s and its estimated penetration at 500m with improved APFSDS-T rounds is around 185-225 mm RHAe at 30 degree impact but it is presumed to be more due to the self-sharpening process as the round penetrates the armour and the new generation propellants that is utilized. Its other primary main weapon is its two launchers of anti-tank guided missiles which are mounted on each side of the turret for a total of four anti-tank guided missiles, the range depends upon the missile system it carries which is either the T-S9 ATGM or Kornet-EM1 and even the Shershen.

Secundary armament may include one TA12 12.7x108mm HMG in a remote weapon station which has a 400 round ammunition-capacity, the standard coaxial is a 7.62x54mmR PKT LMG it carries 800 rounds.

Mobility

The JTVP is equipped with DN Manufacturing Industries DVT-V10P-5A1 four-stroke liquid-cooled V-10 engine equipped with a turbocharger producing 740 hp (551 kW) that drives a Kyoungcho GDT-32A1 hydromechanical automatic transmission with 6 forward and 2 reverse gear due to its improved layout the powerpack is located in the front of the JTVP-25 serie and shifted to the right. All the fuel tanks on the JTVP are self-sealing, with a layer of un-galvanized rubber sandwiched between two metal plates. When pierced, diesel fuel flowing out of the vehicle will cause the rubber to expand, sealing the puncture very quickly. The vehicle itself is approximately 25 tonnes which, combined with the total output of the engine, gives it a power/weight ratio of approximately 29.6 hp/t. the JTVP-25 is fully-amphibious. On water it is propelled by two waterjets, mounted at the rear, it uses new amphibious propulsion technology and has a speed on water of about 10 km/h.

Electronics

Protection

A JTVP-25 trial use by the Anikatian Ground Forces with during a exercise in Northwestern Temuair.

The JTVP-25 has the collective PKUZ-1B NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) protection system, and a radar warning receiver and a laser warning receiver which will warn the crew if it is being targeted by a millimetric wave radar-guided weapons, and laser guided-weapons specifically. It is equiped with an elaborate smoke screen system in a 8x8 configuration which amounts to a total of 16 smoke grenades with one launcher on each side of the turret. Which will deploy Visual and Infrared Screening Smoke (VIRSS) grenades, which can effectively block optical, infrared and radar signatures once a threat has been detected. It does have the LV-5 laser dazzler as well it is coupled with a laser radiation detector, and automatically aims for the enemy's illuminating laser designator, attempting to overwhelm its optical systems or blind the operator thus neutralizing the threat to the vehicle.

It can also equiped with the Varnir-M active protection system (APS) wich has been integrated onto other estovakivan vehicles of various classes and also now the JTVP-25 serie. The design includes the Vlta EL/M-1255 F/G band fire-control radar with four flat-panel antennas mounted on the vehicle, with a 360-degree field of view. When a projectile is detected, the internal computer calculates an approach vector almost instantly, before it arrives. Once the incoming weapon is fully classified, the computers calculate the optimal time and angle to fire the neutralizers. The response comes from two rotating launchers installed on the sides of the vehicle which fire neutralizing agents, usually small metal pellets like buckshot.

The system is designed to work against all types of anti-tank missiles and rockets, including handheld weapons such as rocket propelled grenades. The system can simultaneously engage several threats arriving from different directions, is effective on stationary or moving platforms, and is effective against both short- and long-range threats.

The main armour of the JTVP-25 series is the medium variant of the Advanced Estovakivan Modular Armour Protection also known as (AEMAP-B) in DERA format attached to its sides and front over its super banite hull, the modular design allows damaged sections to be easily replaced, new upgrades can be placed giving it increased service life, as new threats emerge. The medium variant is designed to deliver protection against autocannons up to 30 mm caliber using APFSDS rounds. The AEMAP-B modular composite armour which consists of a plate of Perforated Super Banite which is a low-alloy steel. Situated directly below that, there is layers which contains homogeneous Super Bainite, cubic boron-nitride, and Al2O3. The armour does not lose its qualities when used in extremely low temperatures which was a requirement issued by the army, as might need to operate in some of the harshest arctic winters in the world. The modular design allows damaged sections to be easily replaced, new upgrades can be placed giving the series vehicles increased service life. The protection system is provided with aramid-fabric inner splinter-proof liners to protect the crew and equipment from the secondary flux of fragments.

Variants

  • JTVP-25-I - Standard IFV Variant. Which is armed with the Tagr-AM Universal fighting module Remote Weapon system: 40mm CTA autocannon and four T-S9 ATGM or Kornet-EM, this includes an RWS TA12 HMG 12.7x108mm Coaxial and 7.62x54mmR PKT LMG.
  • JTVP-25-SV - Self-propelled mortar variant which only carries its three crew members. It is armed with a RMOS automatic 120 mm mortar system which has acquired for usage on the JTVP-25 series.
  • JTVP-25-CV - Command vehicle. The JTVP-25-CV is a variant of the JTVP-25 series designed to fill the role of a dedicated tactical command vehicle, and is specially fitted for the dual roles of acting as a tactical decision-making and information control hub.
